Curious Conversations
Re-think your organization’s approach to building culturally competent leaders
As attorneys, we’ve spent decades reacting to lawsuits and complaints that occur when someone feels discriminated against in their workplace or school.
But as DEI practitioners, we know that proactive conversations around difficult topics like race, disability, or aging can reduce the risk of costly litigation and create more inclusive spaces.
DEI training is usually boring, mandatory, and tends to piss people off. Research shows that typical DEI training backfires. In fact, managers tend to show more discriminatory behavior after traditional DEI training.
Imprint Legal Group’s diverse attorneys and consultants spent months strategizing over chips and queso. We took everything from our professional and personal experiences - from the thousands of trainings we have provided to others or been forced to sit through ourselves - and landed on one goal:
Create an enjoyable, evidence-based program to develop culturally competent leaders.
Our unique program, Curious Conversations, is based on three principles:
FUN, relatable, non-threatening topics that get everyone talking. Even Gary in accounting will be intrigued about the 1998 Chicago Bulls discussion. Curious Conversations appeal to a wide audience across identities.
FOCUS on developing nuanced listening skills and cultural humility for leaders, not on shame or blame.
FOOD is our love language. Curious Conversations are designed for ongoing, one-hour casual chats built into your day. So you bring the dinner, we’ll bring the party. You bring the lunch, we’ll bring the learn. You bring the coffee, we’ll bring the conversation.
