Who We Are

We are attorneys and consultants who share a goal of using the law to create inclusive workplaces and schools where everyone can focus on their goal.

We’re civil rights attorneys, employment attorneys, and education and school attorneys.

We’re professors at world-class universities.

We’re chief diversity officers in K-12 schools and nonprofits.

We’re raising children and other animals, caring for our elderly parents, and debating which dinosaur is best.

Our work is serious, but we never forget our humanity, our warmth, and our silliness.

Jessica Heiser, founder of Imprint Legal Group
    • Northwestern University, B.A. with Honors and Legal Studies Thesis of Distinction Award

    • DePaul University College of Law, J.D. and Certificate in International Law

    • Northwestern University, Master’s Certificate: Leading Equity & Inclusion in Organizations

Jessica Heiser (she/her) is the Founder and Lead Project Attorney at Imprint Legal Group. After graduating with honors from Northwestern University, Jessica taught middle and high school students in Los Angeles and St. Louis, ran a private-public partnership to raise graduation rates in Indianapolis-area high schools, and earned a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law, where she received a Benjamin Hooks Distinguished Public Service Award.

Drawing on her experience as a teacher and work at Legal Aid Chicago, Centro Romero, and the U.S. Department of Education, Office for Civil Rights (OCR), Jessica started her legal career practicing education law, representing public and private K-12 school districts, colleges, and universities across the country in the largest school law team in Indiana. She led a team ranked Tier 1 in Education Law by U.S. News. As Jessica became more interested in proactive solutions instead of reactive litigation, she sent herself back to school at night to study change management and inclusive organizational practices. She eventually left her partnership in a traditional law firm to explore how inclusive organizational cultures could serve as long-term risk management.

A dynamic public speaker, Jessica is particularly sought for her expertise in sexual harassment, disability and special education, disruptive leadership, racial issues, and Title IX and LGBTQIA+ issues.
